Bernhard Klein (1793-1832) was a German composer. He was born in Cologne and studied music at the Paris Conservatoire, after which he became music director at the Cologne Cathedral. In 1819 he came to Berlin at the behest of Carl Friedrich Zelter, where he became professor of composition at the Royal Institute for Church Music and music director at the University of Berlin. Along with his friend, the music critic and writer Ludwig Rellstab, he was among the founders of the Second Berlin Liedertafel (Song Association).

Klein composed oratorios, a mass, a magnificat, a cantata, psalms, hymns and motets as well as three operas, songs and piano music. His conservative compositional style was influenced by the ideas of the writer on music Anton Friedrich Justus Thibaut.
