Schickhardt, Johann Christian 01/01/1680 - 01/01/1762

Johann Christian Schickhardt (1680-1762) was a German flutist, oboist and composer. He wrote original compositions for four alto recorders and basso continuo, an extremely rare combination in the music of the eighteenth century. This is one of the reasons his works are considered valuable by flutists.
