Georg Friedrich Händel : Dank sei dir Herr (arr.)
The piece is based on an aria theme from George Frideric Handel’s oratorio *Messiah* and was only later set to a German sacred text, which led to its current liturgical use. In its standard version, the song is characterized by a steady, syllabic setting that deliberately avoids virtuosic elements, instead emphasizing clear declamation and a calm, contemplative effect.
