Michael Drewes : String Quartet No. 1
In High School we discussed the sonata form in Music History, and I was eager to see what one would look like if made by Michael Drewes. That’s how this String Quartet came into being. It was performed on 27 August 1964, as "Sonata in G-Major" (Allegro-Adagio-Allegro Finale; the other movements are later additions) with the orchestra of the German School in Mexico City, with Josefina Alvarez Ierena conducting.Later performed on 24 January 2006 in Miami, Florida, USA, as a string quartet.
