7 years old I started playin the violin, at the age of 12 I switched to the cello.
After school, I studied Doublebass with Rolf Heister at Folkwanghochschule Essen. I was Member of the Schleswig-Holstein-Festivalorchestra with Leonard Bernstein and had a Masterclass with Gary Karr.
In the year 2004, I turned back to cello as my maininstrument, because of a shoulderdesease. The numerous transcriptions for bass and piano, which I am now publishing here, step by step, are in a way the "legacy" of my time as a bassplayer, besides the unforgetable experience of having worked with Leonard Bernstein and Gary Karr.
