My roots are in classical music, but since about 6-7 years I have been very interested in folk music. I play piano, but harmonium as well, also Finnish national instrument kantele (different sizes) and violin.
I work at school as a pianist and have attended once an Orff Pedagogy Course in Germany. Suddenly I remembered those nice days full of music when I found an advertisement of this competition in internet!
For me folk music has opened the way to improvisation and composing. I have tried to make different compositions from short pieces for solo piano and harmonium to some songs and pieces and arrangements for folk band or violin group.
