Born December 25, 1969 in Budapest (Hungary). Graduated from Pannonhalma Benedictine grammar school in 1988. Recipient of both a Soros scholarship (USA) and a Thomas Fischer Young Education scholarship (Sweden). Studied composition at the Mozarteum Academy of Music and Performing Art in Salzburg and received his diploma in 1997. From 1993 to 1999 assistant at Dommusik Salzburg. Directed two choirs between 2000 and 2003. Since 2006 artistic director in charge of the organ concerts at St. Benedict in Nonntal. Numerous choir and church music compositions (St. Mark Passion, premiered at Salzburg Cathedral in 2000, Missa brevis ostinata for eight-part choir a cappella, etc.), more than 200 piano pieces, lieder and chamber music works. Hajdu is married and has three children. He plays the organ at four churches in Salzburg. His main occupation, or bread-and-butter job, is as a software developer at the Lamprechtshausen-based company SIGMATEK (since 2008).
