Patrick Pföß (1981- ) was born in Traunstein, Germany. He began studying the flute at age 9. After 1994 he also received composition instruction from Hans-Josef Knaust in Salzburg. From 1996 to 1999 he attended the music school in Altötting and studied flute with Christine Beer and flute and composition with Christoph Heptner.
From 1999 to 2005 he studied flute (with U. Beißenhirtz) and composition (G.N. Wolff) in Hamburg. He also studied with Christoph Ogiermann in Bremen. Many of his more recent compositions resulted from projects like „IPETSUT – Tempel of Amun-Ra“ or the „Matrixprojekt“ in collaboration with the photo artist Tine Hermann and the performance artists Karin Boine and Heidemarie Meitlein.
Since 2005 he has developed a close cooperation with the writer Jürgen Bühner (short opera: Cuchullin). Pföß is a member of the flute ensemble „triCOLORE“ and of the baroque trio „Folippi“. He directs the Ensemble „senza misura“ and the bqroque ensemble "Adoriante".
