At the age of 5 I was drawn to the piano. I took piano lessons until the age of 15 at the Bernburg music school, adding trumpet lessons at the age of 10. I participated in student recitals and competitions and won a few times in the local district. I played first trumpet in several wind ensembles. I spent my youth with a band called "The Orions" in Bernburg. During my time at university I directed and arranged music for a band. My second period of studies led me to a 90-member strong choir which woke my enthusiasm for choral singing. In this choir I sang first tenor. From 2001 bis 2009 I sang first tenor in the police chorus of Magdeburg, Germany and also appeared as soloist with this ensemble. It was above all the musical skills of the choir directing couple Tatjana Schemetowa and Leonid Schemetow that developed a love of choral singing in me. Unfortunately I had to leave this choir when I moved away from Bernburg. At the time I am in search of a choir to direct, since I have time now in retirement and it is my greatest wish to realise the ideas and conceptions that have been with me for years. I am also capable of arranging easy to medium difficult choral works to suit the needs of the choir.
