Eugen Hilti (b. 1941). Love for classical music, opera and singing has kept me young. I retired at age 60 from my profession as an ophthalmologist in Liechtenstein and now live in Riehen, near Basel, Switzerland. I always enjoyed singing, but I had never taken voice lessons until I was given a trial voice lesson with Dietmar Grimm as a present on my 61st birthday. Mr. Grimm is a former Wagner singer and a gifted teacher who lives in Luzern. Since 2005 I have tried to surprise my friends and acquaintances with a CD each Christmas. My accompanist is Raffael Kuster, a young pianist from Basel. I hope that my vocal cords will hold out a few more years, because I enjoy singing. Many of my songs and arias are to be found in the Online Music Library, a great institution! Nov. 2007
