Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy : Wirf dein Anliegen auf den Herrn 2 (chorale)

The trio “Cast your cares upon the Lord” from Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s oratorio *Elias* is composed in such a way that the three voices are often written in close register, creating a particularly homogeneous overall sound. It is also noteworthy that the accompaniment, with its evenly flowing movement, places less emphasis on dramatic accents and instead forms a calm, almost floating foundation that underscores the comforting nature of the text.
