Markus Libera was born in 1969 and grew up in Westerwald, Germany. At age 14 he started learning electric bass. Various band and performance experiences followed.
At age 20 he decided to study music therapy and natural healing. He also studied rhythm and music with guitar as his main instrument. He then taught early music education, guitar, electric bass and flute at various music schools.
In 1999 he studied music therapy. Now he is a therapist, natural healing practitioner for psychotherapy and teacher in various areas of music. In the little free time he has he writes music, mostly for string instruments. He also records music at home.
