Chauvet, Charles-Alexis 01/01/1837 - 01/01/1871

Charles-Alexis Chauvet (1837-1871) was a French organist and composer.



He studied at the Paris Conservatoire and after 1860 became on organist in various Parisian parishes. He was the first organist of the Église de la Sainte Trinité (Church of the Holy Trinity, Paris), a post which he retained from 1869 until his death.
