Helmut Hudler was born October 26, 1955 in Vienna, Austria. He started piano lessons at the age of three, and recorder lessons at the age of seven. At the age of nine he started violin lessons with Josef Drevo, at first privately and then at the Vienna Musikhochschule. He also studied harmony and composition with Heinrich Gattermeyer.
He then studied medicine. After a while he became a regular choral singer:
After 1988 with the Vienna St. George's Choir under the direction of Gustav Danzinger.
After moving to Winzendorf (1993) he joined the choir of the Vienna Neustadt Conservatory under the direction of Gert Fussi and with the Vienna Neustadt Cathedral Choir under the direction of Albert Mülleder) – Repertoire mainly the larger works for chorus and orchestra (both Bach Passions, Mozart´s Requiem, Messiah, Creation etc.

Member in the Ensemble Cantare Nova Eisenstadt from 1998 to 2004 (Repertoire mainly gospels, spirituals and lighter music
From January 2005 to June 2010 he has been the choral director of the Weikersdorf Singing Community (wide repertoire, mostly a capella, from folk songs to gospels and spirituals to madrigals, classical music, Romantic and pop music)
2005 – 2007 Member of the Singkreis Oberschuetzen (Repertoire mostly madrigals)
2007 - 2016 founding member of the Ensemble „Vokal 8“, concert performances October 2008, November 2009 (Willendorf) and November 2011 (Winzendorf and Wiener Neustadt). Contributor of many arrangements in the repertoire of Vokal 8.
2016 - 2017 member of the chamber choir "aChord" in Wiener Neustadt, from Jab 2018 on member of the chamber choir "Salto vocale" in Perchtoldsdorf.
