There’s not much to say about my profile. I was born on June 17th in Gelsenkirchen.
My parents were musical; my grandfather was very musical. In my youth, I learned to play the piano, but I gave up music when I began to work.
After my studies in electrical engineering, I was so busy with my career that I could not think about music. In 1971 I went into business in the electrical industry on my own. At age 68, I retired.
While blowing horns for hunting in 2002 I discovered the French horn. Together three others, I formed a horn quartet that met each week to perform folk songs and folk music. The group grew to include three trumpets, one baritone horn, a tuba, a euphonium, three tenor horns and a French horn, which also meets on a weekly basis.
After surviving cancer and an embolism in 2003, I rediscovered my faith in God and began composing spiritual music. The seed planted in my youth, nurtured though independent study, has borne fruit in my old age.
In sum, I’m a Christian who hears melodies and lyrics now and then, which I write down and around which I build compositions. That’s it, really.
