Kellner, Johann Peter 09/28/1705 - 04/21/1772

Johann Peter Kellner lived and worked as a cantor and organist in Gräfenroda, Germany. He was an important transmitter of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Among his many students, several later became famous, including Johann Philippe Kirnberger, Johann Ernst Rembt, and Johannes Ringk. Kellner composed many pieces for the harpsichord as well as cantatas and motets. Very few of his organ compositions have survived.
