I was born in 1952. My only “correct” music training consist of 3 1/2 years of accordion instruction. Afterwards I taught myself a lot about music theory and harmonic theory through improvising with the accordion and readings.
At 20 I sat on an organ bench for the first time when I studied at the former "EWH Landau" (University of Koblenz and Landau) for the teaching profession in primary schools and focused on music.
Starting from 1979 I first substituted as an organist before I took over - without any church musical training - the organist position made available in my current residence Altleiningen, Germany in 1981.
At some point I began to inscribe my improvised choral preludes. In addition occasional uninhibited organ pieces emerged.
Since I am not a virtuoso, my pieces are easy to play and therefore surely interesting particularly for church musicians on top of the regular duties. I use the pedal only sporadically. Since I know from experience, how often awkward it is to play choral preludes and chorals from different note books, I usually add to my revisions well playable four-part harmonies as well.
Since then I participate in the circle of "domestic layman music", which arises again and again in church services. I have written for different subjects for upper parts in religious songs. All are meant for recorders or violins and require no greater technical demands for playing.
With all my revisions and compositions it's always important for me that the music sounds beautifully.
Even if the interested party for my pieces is certainly not that big, I appreciate feedback.
