Schäfer, Alexander

Born 1965 in Herborn, Germany and grew up in Frankfurt/Main.
From 1978-1981 classical guitar instruction in a state-recognized private school of music in Frankfurt-Niederrad.
In 1985 music advanced course examination for the Abitur (college entry exam).
In 1985-1987 basic study of musicology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main.
Bandleader of own blues/rock and pop band in the 90's around area Frankfurt/Main and Darmstadt.
In 1999 moved to Ostfriesland Norden/Norddeich, Germany.
There a 6 year member of a classical guitar ensemble. First attempts composing, whereby works consist of solo guitar, guitar ensemble and church organ take center stage. The works are recited in part also for guitar ensemble concerts and on the organ within the scope of church services.
In 2006 returned to Frankfurt/Main.
In 2008-2012 gave violin and cello instruction at the local school of music. During this time two small suites for violin and cello solo were composed as well.
