Oliver Blinn, born in 1973, began taking piano lessons at the age of 8. At the age of 10 he wrote small compositions to the surprise of his piano teacher at the time. He was not funded in this regard. In the following years, further piano compositions on a wide variety of subjects were created.
At the age of 14, the compositions were first performed in public. In 1988 he won the third prize in the composition competition "Composing Pupils" organized by the VDMK (today: DTKV) with the piano piece "The Castle Ruins and Their Memories". To this day, compositions are primarily created for piano.
For several years now, Oliver Blinn has also been dealing with film music and classic orchestral arrangements using modern music software.
Oliver Blinn studied electrical engineering at Saarland University and works as an engineer in this area.
