Werner Hübschmann (* July 23, 1901 in Chemnitz; † July 5, 1969 in Weimar) was a German composer and lecturer.

If we look at the list of works of the composer Werner Hübschmann, folk music covers the largest part. There you can find, for example, music for plucked string orchestra and accordion, such as Sonatine for accordion or Toccata for accordion,. Also instruments such as the guitar and zither were included by Hübschmann with compositions.

After musical studies in Dresden and at the Leipzig Conservatory with Grabner and later with E. Wolff in Zurich, he first worked as a private music teacher in Leipzig and Chemnitz. On October 1, 1950, he was one of the co-founders of the Chemnitz Folk Music School. From 1952 he worked as a lecturer in composition, among other things, at the Weimar Academy of Music.
