Versailles, March 17, 1689 - † Versailles, March 13, 1717.
Son of Jean Danican and thus cousin of the great musician and chess player François-André Danican Philidor.
He entered the chapel in 1708 as a player of the bass trumpet and the marinet trumpet. In 1716, he became an oboist in the Chambre and a bass violinist in the Grande Ecurie.
This promising musician from the Danican family died very young, four days before his 28th birthday, leaving some small compositions, including two books of "Pièces pour la flute traversiere" (Ballard, 1716 and 1718).
