Michael Joseph Jackson
(August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana; † June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, California) was an American pop, soul, R&B, funk, disco and rock singer, dancer, songwriter, author, music and film producer and music manager.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, he is the most successful entertainer of all time and also the artist who has supported the most charities worldwide both financially and in a representative capacity. He has received several awards for his commitment. His success in music earned him the nickname "King of Pop".
