Born in Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Bavaria), I came into close contact with music, especially church music, at an early age. My main profession was in medicine, but since the early 1980s I have also been able to develop as a part-time C musician and try to organize church services musically as often as possible. Most of the ideas for my small compositions and the focus on chorale-based works with the organ as the instrument developed from this practice.
