The evil sorcerer Redbeard from the ballet 'SwanLake', the peasant girl Giselle and finally Othello – all these theatre characters have one thing in common: they were chosen by dancers as IM names for their unofficial activities for the Ministry of State Security. Is it intent or negligence in dealing with artistically designed offences? Did the Ministry of State Security have a particularly easy job in the dance theatre, a place of artistic deception, play-acting and intrigue at which extreme human behaviour is presented by means of examples?With the help of documents from the Birthler Authority, the actions of persons involved and persons concerned are for the first time described in a comprehensible, yet oppressive way, without wanting to provoke any understanding for the actions of the responsible persons.
