Stefan Scharring : Nacht (Night)
"Zwischen Tag und Tag" ("Between Day and Day") consists of poem settings interwoven with chorale arrangements for passiontide, framed by instrumental music, poem recitations and Scripture readings. The contrast of old chorales with modern poems creates new impulses for self-reflection. The music moves between traditional hymns and jazz sounds. It invites us to empathize with pictures from the suffering of Christ, pictures from the happenings "between day and day."
