I finished Bulgarian State Consevatoire in Sofia with specialty Clarinet in the class of Prof. Petko Radev.
From 1971 until 1991 I worked as artist-member of Sofia Brass Orckestra.It was as early as 1968 that
I began to cooperate with Folk Music Unit of Bulgarian National Radio/BNR/ as instumentalist, conducter
and composer.From 1991 until 2011 I was conductor of the Folk Music Orchestra of BNR and its main
composer. In the fund of this institution I left more than 1,200 pieces of music conducted by me and
800 compositions.
I am holder of the following awards:Second award from the contest of the Union of Musical and Dance
Figures for new piece of music with"Scerzo"2005.First award from the contest New Bulgarian Folk Music-Chepelare 2007 with "Northen Suite".First award of the contest 110 Years from the Birth of Diko Iliev
with the horo "The Unfogettable Bay Diko" 2008.Third award from the contest for Bulgarian Simphonic Music 7/8 with "Rodopi Simphonic Picture"2015 and first award from the same cotest 2016 with "Three
Bulgation Dances".I have been awarded Golden Lyre by the Union of Music and Dance Figures 20011.
