Being an unusual composer of his day, Ibert did not attach himself to any of the predominant genres of music of the time. Described as elicit, the composer's Deux Interludes for Flute, Violin and Harpsichord is pleasantly unusual in instrumentation, creating a worthy addition to the classical music repertoire. Ibert stands out as a composer who tackled all styles with equal success, his Deux Interludes for Flute, Violin and Harpsichord being no exception. With clear, separate parts, this edition is a must buy for aspiring musicians seeking to expand their repertoire.
