In principle, members may download, copy, reproduce and use the sheet music available on Musicalion for performances. Musicalion does not claim any performance royalties.

If a member wishes to perform a downloaded work, it is their responsibility to observe the performance rights. Whether a work is subject to registration with ASCAP, GEMA etc. is indicated in the score.

If a large, staged work (e.g. opera, musical) is published, the composer/score supplier can claim the exercise of his stage performance rights.

In such a case, it is advisable to note directly in the sheet music that contact is requested for performance royalties.
