Ferdinand (Lukas) Schubert (1797-1859) was an Austrian teacher and school director. He was born and lived in Vienna. As a composer he was much less talented than his brother Franz. He published some pedagogical writings and later administered his brother's estate. He arranged some of his brother's works (e.g. the German Mass), adding a couple of his own compositions.
