- Born in 1952 in the small Westphalian town of Haltern am See and grew up in a musical family.
- First attempts at playing while still at school with 3-part arrangements for recorders.
- Learned to play the manual on a harmonium under the guidance of my father (organist and choirmaster of a small parish)
- later expanded with regular organ lessons (with pedal)
- and got a taste of the practice of pipe organ building.
- Parallel to this, he built up a second mainstay through vocal music
- Training and further education at the ''Akademie Spieler'' (formerly IBACH-Akademie) to become a choir director, expanded with the basics of harmony and song interpretation with Prof. Roland Pröll
- Conductor of various choirs and instrumental groups (including a string ensemble established in Greven, Münsterland)
- Choirmaster and organist since professional retirement in Herford, East Westphalia.
- Main fields of activity: Compositions and song arrangements, especially with biblical and religious themes
