August Nörmiger (b. 1560 in Dresden; d. 1613 in Dresden) was a German composer.
August (also known as Augustus) Nörmiger was the court organist in Dresden. Our most important source of his musical creations is a handwritten piano book (actually intended for all keyboard instruments) in German organ tabulator, the so-called “Tabulaturbuch auff dem Instrumente”, which he created for the Electress Sophie von Sachsen. This collection featured many new arrangements of older works. Nörminger does not indicate what material is of his own devising.
