Frederich Ernst Fesca was a German violinist and composer. He came from a musical family. His father was Johann Peter August Fesca, a jurist in Magdeburg, who was also involved in the musical life of his city. His mother was the singer Marianne Podleska, a student of Johann Adam Hiller.

At the age of 11, Fesca debuted as a violin virtuoso in his home city and later gave several concerts in Free Mason lodges. In 1895, Fesca studied in Leipzig under the cantor August Eberhard Müller, who later sent him to the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra as a violinist. From 1808 until 1813, when the Kingdom of Westphalia ceased to exist, Fesca was the solo violinist of Kasseler Hofkapelle. Most of his compositions date to this time. In 1814 he became a court violinist in near Karlsruhe. An illness forced him to limit his playing and, in 1821, to give it up entirely. He then focused strongly on his compositions until his death in 1826.
