A German composer from Silesia. He was born in Gröbnig (Werner village), a district of Leobschutz. His parents soon moved with him to Breslau. There he was taught by Bohn and Julius Schaeffer and from 1883 - 1924 was a school teacher/l principal and from 1824 - 1921 a singing teacher at the Matthias Gymnasium. Since 1896, erals II. Lied Master led the Spitzer's male voice choir and composed mainly works for mixed and male choirs, the latter also as an orchestra. Among his works are the Upper Silesian hymn, the song of Silesia and other native songs as well as piano pieces.
