Josep Montserrat Teroba was born in Manresa (Province of Barcelona) in 1992.
Taught himself music from age 9 and at 18 started taking formal music lessons at the conservatory in Manresa. Later on changed to the Conservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona.
He has received a scholarship from the Ferrer-Salat Foundation and studies composition with David Israel Martínez.
Montserrat has composed more than 50 pieces, including many piano and chamber music works. Lately, he has been particularly interested in writing for orchestras.
