Lutheran-orthodox theologian and hymn lyricist, who also supported many of his religious poems with well-known melodies and movements. Already during his lifetime from friendly side the reproach was made for him that he inserted attacks against the pietists into his religious songs. He preferred the popular tone and (wob???) often worldly sounding songs with religious text in church mass.
