Vicenzo Valente (February 21, 1855 in Corigliano Calabro, Italy - September 6, 1921 in Naples, Italy) was an Italian librettist and composer who is famous for his ''canzoni napoletane''. He had already composed his first work when he was fifteen years old (Ntuniella). At the same time he began collaborating with Gianbattista de Curtis for whom he composed ''A pacchianella''. He is also responsible for numerous operettas, e.g. ''I granatieri'' composed in 1888. However, his main activities was composing numerous Neapolitan songs, the most famous among them being ''Tiempe belle'' from 1916.
