Pit Albrecht : Requiem Exitus, Part 1: I die in D minor
Requiem for M(ozart)e
"... although I have made it a habit of always imagining the worst in all things - since death, to be precise, is the true end of our lives, I have for some years now become so familiar with this true, best friend of man that his image alone no longer has anything terrifying for me, but quite a lot of reassuring and comforting! And I thank my God that he has granted me the good fortune to have the opportunity - you understand me - to get to know him as the key to our true happiness. I never go to bed without considering that, young as I am, I may not be the next day. And no one of all those who know me will be able to say that I am grumpy or sad in my dealings - and for this happiness I thank my Creator every day and wish it from the heart to every one of my fellow human beings.
W.A. Mozart
