Born in 1954, I came into contact with music through my mother, who was a keen and even entusiastic singer, and through my father, who sang as first tenor in a male choir and took me to rehearsals already at an early age.
I am a member of this male choir since 1970, trained as a vice conductor and later attended the Mobile Choir Conductor school of the Baden Singers' Association.
Furthermore, I am regular or guest singer in several choirs, alongside a demanding job. My singing voice is bass and countertenor or altus.
As I kept coming across mixed choir pieces that I wanted to sing with a male choir, I began to rewrite them for male voices. I also arranged male choir pieces based on recordings for which no sheet music existed, as close as possible to the original. Currently I arrange student songs, as most of them only exist as monophonic works, and madrigals, which usually are written mixed for female and male voices.
If you like any of my work, I would be pleased about a short message :-)
Stay joyous!
