Steve Johnson Jr is a composer, performer and educator. Garnering experience in classical orchestras, jazz ensembles large and small, rock groups, and school based choral ensembles, Steve has become a top musician and educator in his home state of Rhode Island, USA. As a bassist, Steve composes for the original jazz fusion outfit, Baba Yaga, noted for taking music similar to their name sake and presenting it an unique jazz format. Steve also plays bass for local jazz big band, the Nite-Life Orchestra. During the day, Steve teaches general music for a local school district, bringing his unique experiences into the classroom.
