Sarah Jane Fogg is an English composer, based in London.
She studied violin with Harold Geller and singing with the acclaimed Mary Thomas, who had music specially composed for her by Peter Maxwell Davis. After completing a music degree at Middlesex University, Sarah studied composition with John Mcleod and has a fellowship in composition for film.
Sarah has composed the scores for feature films Kosmos and Third Contact which was shown at the Imax in London. Her music has been used in BBC and Channel 4 dramas and documentaries, TV adverts and an award winning short at the Tribecca film festival. She sings in the BBC choir and performs her own compositions in venues across London.
She has taught violin and singing and comes from a long line of musicians. Her father was a professional trumpet player, her grandfather a cellist in the Halle orchestra and her great grandfather a music professor and violinist who regularly played for royalty and the prime minister of the time.
