I come from Southern Germany and have been active as a choir singer since 1962. In terms of instruments, I have learned to play the violin and still maintain this as a hobby with the ''cross strings'' at the ''Christuskirche'' (Church of Christ) in Rostock. I teach biology, geography and religion professionally.
Since 1984 I have been honorary director of the choir of the ''St. Michaelskirche in Versmold'' (St.Michael's Church) and with a prolonged interruption from 2007 to 2010 the ''Christuschor'' (Choir of Christ) in Rostock.
For the last two years I have gathered around me a small group of people from the Catholic parish of Bad Doberan. We call ourselves the ''Marieberna Choir'' after the church of St. Marien/St. Bernhard.
In 2004 and 2014 I organized a choir trip to southern Germany. In July 2016 we will do this trip again. It is under the motto "Oberschwäbisches Barock" (Upper Swabian Baroque).
