Stolze, Heinrich Wilhelm 01/01/1801 - 06/12/1868

Heinrich Wilhelm Stolze was the son of Georg Christoph Stolze [17] (1762-1830), who worked in Erfurt as cantor and organist. From 1814 to 1820 he attended the Council Gymnasium.

Proud was a student of Johann Christian Kittel, Michael Gotthard Fischer and Ludwig Ernst Gebhardi.

On October 27, 1822, he took over the organist's office at the Marktkirche in Clausthal. In 1824 he was appointed city and palace organist to Celle. At the same time he also took over the job as a singing teacher at the local high school.

Proudly founded in 1827 in Celle a singing club for mixed choir and 1841 a teacher singing club. He owned an extensive collection of music, which is kept today in the Ministry of the Interior and in the city archives.
