Claudio Righetti was born in 1958 in Livorno (Italy). He began studying piano with Camillo Battel at the St. Cecilia Musical Foundation in Portogruaro, graduating with honors at the G.Tartini Conservatory in Trieste under the guidance of Luciano Gante and then perfecting himself with Giorgio Lovato and Laura Candiago Ferrari, always his piano reference. Still very young, he was encouraged by Francesco Mander to study composition, he was initially a pupil of Patrizio Marrone and graduated AT San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples in the class of Gaetano Panariello, deepening the study of counterpoint and sacred music with Father Alfonso Vitale. He also attended the course of organ and Gregorian chant with Maurizio Corazza and, later, with Vincenzo de Gregorio and Roberto Canali. Awarded in numerous national and international piano and composition competitions, he currently devotes himself to teaching and concert and compositional activity in piano, symphonic, chamber, organ and stage music.
