Leo who was a student of Alessandro Scarlatti along with Francesco Durante was one of the most outstanding figures of the Neapolitan School. He wrote more than 500 works in late baroque which was already a gallant style. His 6 concerti for violoncello solo, 2 violins and basso continuo are of particular significance.
