My name is Adeyemi Oladiran. I am a musician of Nigerian descent but now resident in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have studied composition up to a Masters level and hoping to study further in the near future. I compose, arrange, teach, conduct and perform. My area of interest in composition is to explore composition resources from traditional African music. Honing these resources enhances my music composition, teaching and performing activities, and opens up different worlds within the African continent to me, giving me the opportunity to see to what makes us different but more importantly, what makes us alike.
