Mani Bayat
He was born in 1982 in Tehran. He was exposed to the elite music of Iran as his mother was a singer and their home was the gathering place for many great musicians, which were his inspiration from very early on. He started piano lessons at the age of 5 and later on the Setar (an Iranian string instrument).
He was trained both in western and Iranian classical music. By the age of 18 he had started flute and had studied music theory and harmony with famous teachers like Mehran Rohani, Kiawasch SahebNasagh, Azin Movahed, Peyman Yazdanian.
He moved to UK in 2006 to study composition and sound design at Surrey University. After graduation he stayed and worked in some studios for a while and then returned to Iran to further work as a composer and sound designer, producing music for film and adverts.
He is also recording, mixing and mastering for other artists at his own music production studio in Tehran.
