Franc, Guillaume 1505 - 1570

Guillaume Franc (* about 1505 (or 1515) in Rouen; † 1570 in Lausanne) was a French composer and colleague at the Geneva Psalter.

In 1541 he established a music school in Geneva and then taught psalm singing to children in the municipal parish of Saint-Gervais. He was also a singing teacher at the Collège de Rive. In 1545 he became cantor at Lausanne Cathedral and teacher at the Lausanne Academy.
