Georg Adam Kreß (* June 22, 1744 in Fellen; † July 26, 1788 in Langenprozelten) was a German schoolmaster, cantor and composer.
Life:
During the period from October 1777 to March 1778, Kreß met Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart during his likrly visit to Father Pögl and Neustadt. The preface of the piano sonatas published in 1942 speaks of a "cheerful, musically extremely stimulating get together of Mozart and Georg Adam Kreß".
In 1779 Kreß moved to Langenprozelten as a schoolmaster where he died in 1788.
