This Nocturno for four flutes may be seen as a masterpiece of Frederik Johannes Palmboom jr.(1879-1947) As the organist of the protestant congregation “Vrije Gemeente Amsterdam”, he created “Fifty Interludia” too. They were performed in the church, which is now known as “Paradiso”.
The Nocturno is available in F also, as to give a place to the AltoFlute as Fourth Player.
