Schättin, Stefan

Stefan Schättin completed his studies at the Conservatory and Conservatory of Music in Zurich with Erich Vollenwyder and obtained there in 1986 the teaching diploma and in 1987 the concert diploma for organ; in 1988 also the diploma for school music II. In 1991 he received the piano teaching diploma via SMPV.
Further studies led him to Paris to Daniel Roth and François-Henry Houbart and to the Musikhochschule Saarbrücken in the master class of Daniel Roth.
Schättin has been a church musician at the Reformed Church of Uster since 1991, where, among other things, he founded the gospel choir Mezzoforte and established the "Uster Organ Festival", which was awarded the Culture Prize of the City of Uster.
As a school musician and organ teacher he teaches at the Kantonsschule Zürcher Oberland in Wetzikon. He is also a lecturer in organ didactics at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHDK).
